The difference between kn95 face mask and disposable protective mask

2021-09-10
1. Medical disposable masks can block 70% of bacteria, and N95 masks can block 95% of bacteria. If you go to public places and do not contact patients, wearing medical disposable masks is enough without excessive protection. However, if you visit or contact patients, you should wear biological N95 masks;

2. The medical disposable mask has three layers, from the outside to the inside, including waterproof layer, filter layer and comfort layer. The comfort layer is a layer of gauze. When wearing, the white gauze faces inward, the blue waterproof layer faces outward, and the side with metal sheet faces upward. Don't wear it upside down. After hanging the rubber band on both ears, pinch the metal sheet to fit the nose, smooth the cheeks, and try not to leave a gap between the mask and the face.

N95 mask is generally composed of multi-layer structure, including non-woven layer, anti sticking layer, melt blown layer and filter layer. The barrier layer (i.e. filter layer) or melt blown layer is important in the N95 mask. The fiber diameter of the melt blown layer is relatively fine, which is 2 microns( μ m) Therefore, it is only one tenth of the diameter of the spunbonded layer, which plays a vital role in preventing bacteria and blood penetration. If there are too many meltblown layers, it is difficult to breathe. Add a barrier layer es hot air cotton into the N95 mask, which is just breathable and has filling effect. Therefore, the barrier layer can not only reduce the problem of dyspnea, but also make the filtering effect of N95 mask better.
